Welcome to the September working party update
Firstly thanks to Ryan, Bert, Robert, Ali, Michael Ashley and Pam Roue. They moved all the green waste in one session. Saturday 29th September. This has allowed Ernie to use the top gate again. This was the last free delivery of green waste that we may see for at least three years if ever. We are looking at alternative suppliers but the going rate appears to be £90 a cubic yard.so we will keep looking.
Pam and Ernie celebrating their 18th wedding anniversary today, came to the site to make tea for the working party moving the green waste so that Ernie can drive his buggy up to the top gate again. The work was completed faster than they imaged so they can start using the gate tomorrow Sunday 30th September.
Sundays working party consisted of Lynn Michael Ashley Nipti and Leroy. Sundays jobs were to gather up scrap wood and tree cutting from site and place them next to the now barriered off burning area. In addition to Moving green waste on Saturday Michael gave me a hand with building the burning area barrier and fixing the new door to Lynn's shed.
.
All the Rubbish that was collected over the weekend was burnt on Monday 1st October, Michael and Lynn gave me a hand. I did find that there was a lot of wet weeds and sweetcorn also dumped in the burning area. This problem will be addressed during the winter.

Welcome to the November update
There were only two working parties in November, These consisted of Ali, Michael Ashley and myself we constructed the composting area. The purpose of this is to stop decaying vegetation
including grass cutting being dumped on the banks of the brook. Tenants need to have their waste checked before they can put it in the holding. This is to prevent things like Potato tops bindweed dandelions etc being put in, If you do not know what any of these are google it. the second job was to finish returning foundation for the site managers storage shed.
The last of the summer flowers before the Frost got them
Some projects are given to individuals, who are able to do the jobs when the time suits them. One such job is done by Bert he cleans the edges of the paths every year he does a great job and the paths look really good
Jobs like this make all the difference to how the site looks Derek and I do various jobs throughout the year we do things from repairing shed roofs generally cleaning the site ,checking fences. We have the base of Nipti's shed to repair.Over on the working party projects page you can find a list of up and coming projects
